Description
This kit represents a standard NSWGR 2 plank D with a centre door converted to carry Oil Shale, Wood chips and coke. They were built and rebuilt over a period between 1865 and 1880. Built on a 8ft6 wheel base, from 1895 these wagons would have either been fitted with westinghouse airbrakes of through piped for them. fully fitted wagons had a white square with a full red dot. Piped only wagon had a white square with a broke red circle on it. This kit comes in both wheel bases and is capable of being built with unfitted brakes or airbrakes. Post 1895 braking transfers are included in the kit. These wagon would have been a common sight all across NSW and ACT from 1875 intil the mid 1040’s.
