Description
This kit represents a standard NSWGR 3 plank D with a centre door. They were built and rebuilt over a period between 1875 and 1905. Originally built on a 8ft6 wheel base this was later changed to a 9ft wheel base from about 1890. from 1895 these wagons would have been fitted with westinghouse airbrakes of through piped for them. fully fitted wagons had a white square with a full red dot. Piped only wagon had a white square with a broke red circle on it. This kit comes in both wheel bases and is capable of being built with unfitted brakes or airbrakes. Post 1895 braking transfers are included in the kit. These wagon would have been a common sight all across NSW and ACT from 1875 intil the end of steam in the 1960’s
